Nokia opens OVI Store
Nokia issued a press release saying they have opened the OVI Store. It will eventually be opened globally to just about 50 million Nokia devices including the new N97 which should be coming around soon. Currently the OVI Store is only available to users in Australia, Singapore, Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ireland and the United Kingdom but at&t has said the store will be available on their network before the end of the year. I think it will be interesting to see how well it plays out on the at&t network because it will be in direct competition with the Apple app store which is already available on the at&t network.

Fired for lack of makeup

There are some really strange ways of getting fired. I have covered a few in other articles around the site. I think this one really tops all of them. Shenoa Vild is a former waitress from Trophy's in San Diego, California. Former waitress because she said her boss fired her because she didn't want to wear makeup. She had been working for Trophy's for 5 years when Trophy's was sold and new management wanted to women to wear makeup. Personally I think this place should be boycotted until they can get their acts together. Some good news is Shenoa Vild has found and started another job as a bartender apparently at a place where females aren't required to wear makeup. Joe Horn really ticks me off, you know not quite as much as his brain dead supporters who believe shooting a shotgun in broad daylight in a suburban street is fully justified. But a recent incident occurred in Texas and now people are starting to come around. No you can’t be like the idiot Joe Horn and just start shooting people because they are on your property or because you suspected them of breaking the law. We are not a society where you can shoot someone just because. Anyhow the news story is two people shoot and killed a 7 year old boy who they claimed was trespassing with a group of people.
